One of my favourite places in my whole Europe trip! It's glamorous, beautiful and dreamy! Totally my dream place to live in. Just being there made me feel so happy and alive.
Looking fabulous yet again.
We actually took the plane to Nice first, but that day our plan was to sit the bus down to Monaco. And so we did! Here are some city shots!
WHAT?!
Bicycles for rent.
After checking into the hotel, we walked around our hotel a little to find a launderette.
We managed to find one so while waiting for our clothes, we just went to the cafe nearby. Pictures below!
Literally junk food.
disapproving look.
And you would think that their specialties are pastas and pizzas... in fact, IT WAS HORRIBLE! The pastry of the pizza was soggy and the portion of the carbonara pasta was wayyyyyy to big. But the main problem was that the food was BLAND. Just grossness at its best.
The picture with Jamie in it was actually an AFTER picture and look at the pasta. It can pass off as a full portion. You can eat that bowl forever and it wouldn't finish.
Such a disappointing meal.... meh. After that we hopped on the bus and made our way to Monaco! The bus ride all the way there had an amazing view. It's because we were always on the edge on the cliff which gave us an open and beautiful view of the ocean, boats and buildings.
Deep blue sea.
These pictures were all taken on the bus while it was moving. Definitely does not do the view justice. It is tons more beautiful than the pictures. But you get what I'm saying right.
After a really long bus ride, we finally reached Monte Carlo, Monaco! Stopped at the place with where all the yachts are parked. OMG HUGE yachts let me tell you. Can even compare to a house. Sigh day dreaming of the day I get to own one :).
"Welcome to my home."
Yachts
Yachts
.....and more yachts.
.....and more yachts!
Stopped by a gelato store at the side which had very unique flavours and way of paying.
Yea something we don't see everyday in Malaysia. But it wasn't good. Probably one of the most disappointing gelato I've tasted.
Continued strolling about and came across some pretty nice cars. For me, I've never known how to appreciate cars, but it seemed like the whole world did. Everyone who passed by these 2 cars in particular would stop to look inside and snap photos. The car even had a sign that said "do not touch". Talk about humility, but I totally get where they're coming from.
Yeah that sign at the window said "Do Not Touch".
How cute is this car....
If you didn't know, Monaco is like, built on a mountain. So, to walk around meant hiking. NAH I'm just kidding! It isn't that bad but the climb was STEEP!!! It made me pant like crazy. We were actually walking to the Monte-Carlo's Casino. Which was WAY WAY up hill.
Many branded shops placed along the way. Didn't manage to get anything though.
AT LAST, we reached the casino and damn... It was basically a car showdown. There was this mini roundabout there and I don't know where it lead to but there were SO MANY beautiful cars. It's every car enthusiast's dream to be there!! (I'm guessing)
Jamie looked around some cars while I just looked.... bored. haha! Some cars DID get my attention. I like........ big cars :). Yeah that's pretty much how I would pick out a car in the future. "OOO big car? BUY" wishful thinking :').
Booty-licious Bently.
Yeah! This is MY kind of ride.
Impressive right?! After that we just sat by this cafe called Cafe De Paris. The cafe is HUGE and had very little staff. The service was terrible! Could be because of the lack of staff, but in my opinion, I think he was just racist.
So here's how it went.. There was this table BESIDE US trying to get a menu the same time as us, but we were definitely trying harder as we were like waving our arms and stuff. And who did he notice? The table that was just looking around for a waiter.
OK FINE
Then after he gave them menu's we asked for some and he just totally ignored us and just put his hand up (like asking us to hold on).
OK FINE
So we waited, until the table next to us wanted to take order, so he came frolicking right away and when he was done we asked for the menu AGAIN. This time he TOLD us to hold on.
OK FINE
THEN THE OTHER TABLE GOT THEIR ORDERS and this time we were really FURIOUS. He did not even walk pass or acknowledge our table after he placed down their orders!!!!!
We were almost about to leave and suddenly he brought the menu's. Getting things done after that is a whole other story which I will leave at that.
I mean, it wasn't like every interval he made us wait were short okay. It was like a 15minute wait at LEAST.
So YOU tell me. Definitely racist I'd say. You would least expect these kind of shenanigans at a high class place but I guess that's not the case.
Phew typing this just got me all fired up again! Back to my happy spaceeee...
Love of my life!
So we just sat by this cafe for about an hour just having a relaxing time. *BLING* reason why I love Monaco is because we got to relax so much and not hustle and bustle about. We looked at cars, people, weather, and scenery. It was such a beautiful day other than that fool of a waiter.
After that, we went to walk around their shopping spots and also their shopping mall. They have such an old flair to their buildings which I really love! (which is what Europe is all about, OLD BUILDINGS)
Reflection selfie!
In the mall.
DEFINITION OF JOY.
OH my love... my love for macaroons... I go all heart eyes over them. They definitely are world class macaroons. Everyone of them tasted like love. SO DELICIOUS. With them, my life is complete. Hahaha kidding babe, I love you :*.
It was dinner time and we just looked for a nearby restaurant called Sakura to eat. Saw this pretty nice Jap place so we went in. It was deserted to say the least and VERY expensive. We only ordered 2 things and couldn't bare to order a bowl of rice. Because it was 6EUROS! For a bowl of steam rice?! That's like total MADNESS!
6 EUROS once you convert is like RM27?! Holy! In Malaysia you can get it at most RM4? Just couldn't being ourselves to ordering it. Just couldn't.
But the food totally shocked us as it was AWESOME! And it came with a bowl of rice!!! Which made us tear a lil eating it. Sobs...
Could definitely taste the freshness of the food. After dinner we just took the bus back to the hotel and knocked out! Fun day I would say.
Next city up in a few days! Until then, stay fabulous.
