Had an early start that day because we had to catch our train ride to Cannes (from Nice)! If you've read my previous post, you would know that I haven't explored Nice although I'm in Nice haha.
But first thing's first, so we went to the train station early in the morning.
Nice's train station. Their trains are so nice compared to Malaysia. The one we sat on was quite new as well.
Cannes welcomed us with open arms! Great breezy weather.
Walked around a little and went to the famous red carpet where they host the award shows (i think) hhehehe. Many tourists were there as well taking photos! It was so hard to get one without anyone in the background.
Bed hair day!
They also had something like Hollywood's Walk of Fame beside the red carpet. Only knew one of them hahah. Which was JULIE ANDREWS! Love that lady. Who WOULDN'T know her right?! Watched her movies from when I was a kid.
*The hills are aliveeeeeeeee with the sound of muuuuuuusiccccccc.....*
After that we just walked around, trying to find a nice cafe to have breakfast. Like a real authentic French place where all the locals would go to.
Found one that looked pretty promising!
Not bad! Ambiance was nice and relaxing and service was good too. We had the omelet n french toast. That small piece of french toast was very filling. I couldn't even finish it. Too "jelak" as we Malaysians would say.
But I liked the omelet!
After that, we walked around Cannes and came across their morning market! Not the wet market kind but kind of like the Petaling Steet that we have here in Malaysia. Jam packed with people!! Here are some pictures along with some city shots.
They had very unique shops that we would hardly find in Malaysia. Just let the pictures do the talking.
This shop was too adorable! They sold unique canned food which many I've never heard of in my life! Wanted to buy some back as souvenirs but they were only sold in bulks sadly.
The shop that would haunt me in my nightmares. If someone locked me in here, I honestly feel like it would be worst than a horror house, or even PRISON. I strongly feel this way.
Even when Jamie left me to go in to snap photos, the stench that came out while she opened the door just made me puke in my mouth. Not even exaggerating here.
They also had these major cool wires that were SO LIGHT it's crazy. And it is also malleable, therefore, can we shaped however you like! Look at those pretty examples there. Amazing right! Didn't want to get cheated so we didn't buy any.
Go into any cafe and they will give you a bowl of olives. MAD SALTY.
Chicken(?) wrapped in bacon lol
Jamie's eyes GLOWED when we fumbled across the market. OH NOOOO market stroll again. Not again........ But I'm starting to like going to markets now because there really are weird things to see!
How cute is this bus!
The market.
They sell fresh pastas!
Don't know what is that but it looks creepy.
Spices.
They sell a lot of these weird jelly-like things. Which looks SO gross to me. But many people are actually buying it. I guess it's an European dish? Someone please tell me. Haha I'm so curious to find out!
That's about it! We then caught the train back to Nice's city centre to get some shopping done. YAY! Happy time for me. But before that we were hungry so guess what we ate...... KFC! Hahaha!
Genuinely saddened by the fact that they didn't have chilli sauce! AWMAN! But their KFC tasted AWESOME! Loved their chicken fingers n chicken wings! So so good.
So yea after that we went shopping.
OOTD3!
Thanks skinny Pinocchio for making me look like a desperate giant.
Nice's city centre!
Had such good weather today. THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE. You have been so kind to us. We had a fruitful shopping day today. Thanks babe for never letting me carry ANYTHING even though I'm on my knees. You're the sweetest. :*
After a tiring long day! We just packed Chinese food (AGAIN) and head back to the hotel by bus.
Saw this lady with these one-of-a-kind heels and I just HAD to snap a photo of it. WOW! Love it or hate it? I really cant decide hahah.
Devoured everything within minutes back in the hotel room. Watching
french movies and we were trying to figure out what they were saying. Laughing our little butts off. It's
moment like these that makes amazing memories.
Goodnight <3
