Milanooooo

It's DAY 5 of our Europe getaway! Been fabulous thus far. And finally the time has come to head to Milan! The design capital of the world!!! When you think of Milan the 1st thing that you should think of is SHOPPING!

Definitely got us very excited to get there. But before that, comes the long train rides! We had to take 2 trains and it was HECTIC to say the least. we had 2 hand luggage and 2 HUGE luggage that weighed at least 20kgs each.

We had to put our heads together and figure out how we were going to carry it with us. In the end we came to a very good solution. We were just gonna stand with them on the 1st train because there was no space at the sitting area!

Carrying up and down definitely burnt much calories!

The train.

As we were transiting for our next train, we were actually on the boarder of France and Italy which was pretty cool! It was quite a long wait. About 90mins.

Got some food and snacks while waiting so that we could have it on the train. For our next train we got to travel 1st class! Price difference between classes were only a few euros so why not.

Another headache came a long as to where to place our luggage as we are assigned seats already. Boohoo. Which meant that we had to carry 20kgs worth of luggage up onto the shelf which was quite impossible.

Luckily, there were so many kind-hearted people on the train who offered to help us. Met a couple that sat opposite us. They were from Canada and we got to know them a little. They were backpacking around Europe. That's always fun.

Almost reaching as I slept almost the whole ride.

It was raining once we reached Milan. Which put a damper on things.

We had to drag our over-sized luggage through the streets of Milan getting drenched with no clue on where to go.

Had to ask a few people and finally reached Europcar. We booked a car to use throughout our stay in Italy, which was so exciting (but not for Jamie)!

Jamie was FUHREAKING out about having to drive on the left side. I can't drive because I was a P driver still or something like that which sucked. I would have loved to drive.

Made our way to the hotel with awesome navigation skills shown by me, myself, and I. No sweat. Quickly got changed and head out to explore MILANO!

 Closeup OOTD5!

More bikes for rent.

Funny story, I totally forgot to mention that on the first day of our trip in Paris. We actually rented bikes and rode around the city. SCARIEST SHIT EVER. Because the bike was a tad bit too high for me, which made it really hard to balance.

Was sweating my butt off then even though it was a chilling weather. STRESSFUL. From that day onwards, I told Jamie no more renting bikes. EVER.

Literally a green house.

How cute are their petrol stations.

Had one of the best pizza's here! Although it was quite salty for our taste but it was delish! We shared just one because we wanted to try other foods. Loved how they sliced the pizza into cubes.

 Selfie-ing in the car.

Almost couldn't make it for our time-slot at 4pm to see The Last Supper! But we made it yay.

Our tour for the museum spoke in Italian so the whole time we didn't know what she was talking about. We should have gotten the headsets because it got really boring for me.

It's definitely not something you would expect. Its actually not like a painting but it was more like a wall art. It was BIG. Sadly, photography was forbidden in there, thus the lack of photos.

After that we went back to our car and drove to the city centre.

There is definitely a plus side on driving. It's more flexible and time-saving. But the down side was that the parking was cut-throat expensive. Probably like 5euros an hour or something.

But I loved it so much because in the car I get to relax, put my feet up and get comfortable unlike public transport.

For Jamie it was a whole different story. A few times we drove on the road of the opposite direction which freaked us out. She was terrified of driving and definitely wished we were on public transportation. Hahahah.

LOVE this shot by Jamie.

Went to Duomo Milano after that which is definitely a MUST GO for all tourists. It actually look 600 centuries to complete building it!!! Did that input just blew your mind up or what. MINE DID.

We just stayed outside to take photos because we didn't have the time to go in. And don't even get me started on the queue. *sigh*

There was this choir group there singing like angels! They were promoting their musical. I would have loved to go just that we won't be here on that day.

After that we just walked around that area where we SHOPPED! :)

Came across this street performer who was INSANELY talented! Please do watch the video above. Definitely the best I've seen this whole trip. Loved it.

 Gelato all day errday.

Just buy me ice cream and I'm good.

Walking back to our car we passed by the Duomo again. So we took a night shot of it. Pretty isn't it?

Another reason why having a car is awesome is because we can drive to wherever we want, whenever we want!

Both of us were starving. So, I got on Trip Advisor to see where to have our Italian dinner. And we came to a decision, which was Norin.

I realized that France and Italy don't slice their pizzas like we do in Malaysia. Which I didn't quite like.

The ambiance, food, and service was great! Especially the Pomodoro which me and Jme was raving about. It was so simple yet delish.

Was definitely a good dinner on our first and only night in Milan.

Headed back to the hotel with filled and satisfied tummies! Yay for us.
